I forgot to add the lemon juice to the second half of the pasta meal last night.
I forgot to take a photo.
It was still delicious, however!
Today:
Breakfast: beans on toast
Lunch: pasta (home made, using ordinary flour just to see) with a tomato and vegetable sauce topped with cheese (yum)
Dinner: I'm splashing out and having a steak. Yes I am! With a mushroom and creme fraiche sauce and a side salad. I have it and it has to be used so I am! It's certainly NOT cheaper than chips for dinner! Then yoghurt and pineapple.
I want to make ravioli - any suggestions for a simple filling, please?
almost anything but I used a jar of crab pate from Aldi which made a really lovely filling. Don't forget to season your filling well or it can taste very bland.
ReplyDeleteRicotta and spinach
Ham/chicken finely minced and mixed with a little cream/creme fraiche
Almost any vegetable but pumpkin is very good
Almost any fish again well minced with something to make it creamy.
Nothing too wet or too dry. go for it the only real rule is to make sure you get rid of the air so they dont explode and make the pasta thin or it is like eating beer mats.
This is really helpful, many thanks, Diane. Pumpkin is an interesting one and Beth will like that, given that her pumpkins are doing well on the allotment. I suppose that includes squash too.
ReplyDeleteI'll note down your suggestions and tips, many thanks again.
